FlashDisk OpenSAN uses our advanced seventh generation architecture with a modular design that provides virtual 'SAN-In-A-Box' capability and 'pay-as-you-grow' scalability. As additional servers or higher storage capacity becomes necessary with the growth of your business, OpenSAN can be upgraded and configured easily in the field without downtime, simply by adding a few key modular components. FlashDisk OpenSAN supports Fibre Channel and Serial ATA drive technology and used both JBOD and SBOD (switched bunch of disks) expansion units.Use with or without a Fibre Channel switch. It's no longer necessary to buy more storage or host connectivity than you need. Simply start small and "pay-as-you-grow". It is a true open systems solution that supports all servers and operating systems including Linux and has been Red Hat certified.
