FlashDisk FC-3400 with 2nd Generation RAID 6 Data Protection FlashDisk FC-3400 disk arrays provide enterprise class primary storage in an expandable architecture that provides 38.4 TB of exceptionally high performance storage at affordable prices. It delivers over 1,500 MB per second sustained throughput and over 120,000 disk IO operations per second - while maintaining mirrored cache for controller failover.

The base unit contains single or redundant controllers and up to 5 expansion shelves can be added to support up to 96 enterprise class fibre channel storage solution disks, including 10K and 15K rpm disks with up to 300 GB capacity, for the most demanding applications including database, OLTP, financial, manufacturing, video and real-time data acquisition.

The FlashDisk FC-3400 also provides a unique “SAN-in-a-Box” design so you can directly attach up to 4 Fibre Channel hosts without costly Fibre Channel storage solution switches, redundant HBAs or host-based failover software.

The FC-3400 enterprise data storage solution is ideal for consolidating storage while providing a high performance, high capacity and high availability environment.

RAID 6 data protection provides dual parity to protect against two drive failures and to help ensure that critical disk rebuilds after a drive failure are successful - especially important with today’s large arrays. RAID 6 data protection dual parity offers 500 to 30,000 times longer MTDL (Mean Time To Data Loss) than RAID 5. FlashDisk RAID 6 with hardware ASICs delivers higher speed than competitive RAID 5 systems. For ultimate reliability, configure two FC-3400 as RAID 15 or RAID 16.
