Winchester Systems, Inc., a leading data storage solutions company, today introduced a new SATA based RAID array that lowers the cost per gigabyte of RAID protected SATA storage while offering high reliability features such as N+1 power and support for enterprise class SATA disks. "Our Turbo Series of RAID systems support up to 460 MBs per second for reads and 350 MBs per second writes. Now with 24 disks of up to 9.6 TBs available in a single enclosure, our customers can capture and archive video streams or perform disk-to-disk backup operations at our lowest cost per gigabyte", stated Dave Geene, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Winchester Systems. "We also support both SATA I and SATA II disk technology, including the new high duty cycle enterprise class disks from Western Digital" (NYSE: WDC) The FlashDisk SA-4500T supports a single 64-bit RAID controller with dual Ultra320 SCSI host connectivity and has high reliability features including N+1 power, redundant cooling, and UPS support. Included with every FlashDisk data storage solution is the FlashConsole appliance, providing complete centralized management using any browser-based workstation on the LAN. FlashAlert, a 24-hour "call-home" remote monitoring and alert service is also included for one year.
